Engineering Focused Plans of Study Description and Depth of Study

Engineering Focused Plans of Study (EFPSs) allow students to combine their engineering or computing area with another content area. The EFPS is structured to provide breadth by connecting the twelve credits that are traditionally labeled “Engineering Secondary Field” with up to nine credits from the “Business Leadership” component of the IDE major. In doing so, the EFPS offers a broad and clear pathway for specializing in an exciting field. Choose from an EFSP in:

  • Ocean Engineering
  • Entertainment Engineering
  • Humanitarian Engineering
*For questions related to the IDE program, please email ide-upd@fiu.edu. Please only send general inquiries to this address, and refrain from sending sensitive data to this account.*
