Engineering Research Center for Precise Advanced Technologies and Health Systems for Underserved Populations (PATHS-UP)

Project Overview

The strategic vision of the project is to recruit and educate a culturally diverse group of scientists and engineers who are adept at innovation and ready to lead the future in enabling point-of-care technologies and advanced engineered systems which result in better health outcomes for underserved populations. 

Goals: Engage the K-12 communities in PATHS-UP compelling research; professional development for K-12 educators through summer institute and RETs; research scholar program for high school students; develop new, exportable, PATHS-UP modules for K-12 educational programs and activities.

Inspire and recruit women and URM students into STEM careers. Professional development of teachers. Focus on underserved communities.
